Serving Nashville’s Children with St. Luke’s Community House

Katrina Henderson is the Preschool Director at St. Luke’s Community House in Nashville, Tennessee. With more than 15 years of experience in early childhood education and a bachelor’s degree in Early Childhood Education Administration, she was thrilled to join St. Luke’s in March of 2022.

“I believe in the importance of early childhood education and its critical role in the growth of a child’s mind, body and spirit,” says Katrina. “As a firm believer of ‘what you teach a child they will learn,’ we ensure that the children in our care have a positive, safe and healthy academic experience.”

Located in west Nashville, St. Luke’s Preschool serves children ages 6 weeks to 5 years old. St. Luke’s provides a safe and healthy learning environment for the 128 children they serve and strongly believes in partnering with both parents and community organizations to ensure that the best services are being provided to empower and support our families.

St. Luke’s prioritizes the needs of low-income families who often struggle to afford the rising costs of childcare. They participate in the Child Care Certificate Program and sliding-scale tuition is offered to help families.

Thank you for everything you and your staff do, Katrina!
